The Launch of my New Animation Blog!

It's just something to push me towards my goals. Come on by and check out what new things I'm animating... and if you get lucky (you might get to see some embarrassing reference video's of myself) All right, I said enough! Talk to you soon!

Wow, I'm still Alive! & Scurvy Cephalopods

Well Hello All!

Yeeees......yes. It has been way to long, but I have a great excuse. Most of you know, but if you don't, I got a new job. I am working at Rhythm & Hues Studios as one of there new Tech Animators. Not really animation, not really rigging but a little bit of both. It's lots of fun and a bit challenging but it's great experience. My first production is Night at the Museum 2. Can't really say much else, but it has to be one of the best experiences to date. I'm one step closer to my goal!

Also, so this isn't a boring post, let me leave you guys with one of the smaller projects I've been working on. It's a work in progress, but I've had lots of fun so far. Captain Octopus! Not very cleaver, but I have to go to bed, so that's all I got. Let that tied you over until my next post. Talk to you soon!

Shark Fin Soup

Hello Everybody,

My newest creation is a model I've been working on for the past week. Another wonderful concept by Megan Dong, Kahn the Tiger Shark. I've been planning on modeling some sort of aquatic life for a while. She had surprised me with this guy and it's been fun modeling him. I had Megan direct the style and I believe the collaboration was a great success. I'm just about finished with the modeling part, time to start unwrapping and texturing. If you want to check out the painted illustration, go to Megan's blog. I hope you like and I'll have a new post fairly soon.

ARRRRRR!!!!!!

Hey guys,

I have another animation test. I had the regular walk cycle done, so I decided to do a walk cycle with attitude. I had fun with this one because pirates are awesome...and it was a challenge to incorporate the peg leg into the walk. I had to take into effect that he would have a hobble on one side and deal with the weight of the sword on the other side. I believe it turned out pretty good and that it will help me with my later tests to come. I hope you like it, have a great week and more post to come.......and if you haven't seen "the dark knight" yet, set it!

Walk Cycle

Hey Guys,

Well, it' my first animation test in a while. I felt that I should get back to the basics and re-learn myself the walk cycle. It felt good to animate again and I think the walk turn out pretty good. I've started another test and I should have that finished by the end of next week. You guys have a great weekend and I'll talk to you soon.

Wibbon all finished up

Hey Guys,

Wibbon, the salamander alien thing, is just about finished. This guy was more of a challenge then my previous model, Leo. I had to experiment and troubleshoot all sorts of issues, but he turned out pretty good. He's suppose to have a wet like texture on his body (like a salamander) and have a demented, but fun, look. All in all, he was a fun character to model and I can't wait to animate this guy. I hope you like, but now... it is time to animate!!! More posts to come.

Wibbon

Hey Guys,

I'm on a modeling binge right now. Another concept by the talented Megan Dong, I give you Wibbon, the Lizard/Dog/Dinosaur thing. He belongs in the same world as Leo and he's just about finished. This guy took me about two work days, so not to bad for my first quadruped. I have a little tweaking here and there, then I will unwrap and start texturing. I have my buddy Dan rigging Leo for me, so he will be ready to animate in a week or so. (very excited). I'll have another post soon.
